Mr Michael Seitz is a Cardiothoracic Surgeon located in Geelong, Victoria. Currently consulting at the University Hospital Geelong, St John of God Geelong and as of October 2021 also at St John of God Warrnambool.

​

Michael has experience in all aspects of cardiothoracic surgery with a special interest in total arterial revascularisation, aortic valve repair and replacement of the aorta, as well as more minimally invasive including transcatheter aortic valve implantation (TAVI).

​

He completed his Bachelor of Medical Science with first-class Honours followed by a Bachelor of Medicine and Bachelor of Surgery with Honours at the University of Sydney. After his specialty training in New South Wales and Victoria, he obtained his Fellowship of the Royal Australasian College of Surgeons (FRACS) in 2019. Michael also trained at the German Heart Centre in Berlin, undertaking a Fellowship in Minimal Invasive Aortic and Mitral Valve Surgery.

He is passionate about patient-focused care and has contributed his knowledge and experience to research publications and presentations both domestically and internationally.
